My first blog: A bit of me.

Life
Welcome and thanks for visiting my blog. Many people find me intimidating but I promise, its not that bad. Stick around and you'll find out some interesting facts about me.

I wanted to hop out of instagram for a bit and take this time to formally introduce myself.

I'm Josh and I'm 32 years old currently residing in the city of angels. Born in Coahuila, Mexico but raised most of my life here in Los Angeles. I have two older and younger siblings which makes me the middle child.

Thankfully I didn't suffer from "middle child syndrome" growing up. I never felt neglected or excluded by my family like many others have experienced in their lifetime. I like to take the positive traits of a middle child and live with them.

I remember my childhood being surrounded by guitars, video games and outdoor activities. For my dad, music came first. As a kid, all I wanted to do is play video games and play outdoors with my friends but my dad had other plans. My brother, sister and I will practice by force everyday for one hour. If you know Selena y Los Dinos, you know what I'm talking about.

My teenage years were the most troublesome but adventurous times. My mom will always say, "Tell me who your friends are and I will tell you who you are" or "Its better to be alone than to be in bad company." Not listening to her led me to do some ridiculous things. For example, burning down Christmas trees that people will leave out after the holidays. Removing basketball rims from the local schools to make our own basketball courts and lastly getting arrested at the age of 14 for possession of marijuana. I wouldn't blame my friends for my behavior but I do believe the people you hang out with influence your actions. Life is all about experiences and all of my experiences have brought me to where I am now.

Now as an adult I reminisce about the good old times, finding myself lost in a state of nostalgia sometimes, but now we only have the present and future ahead of us. Music and photography has given me the capability to create even more memories. Music is a universal language that everyone understands and unites people of all race and color. Photography has given a different way of viewing things. It allows me to stop, appreciate and capture moments that sometimes we take for granted. Sometimes we need to view life through a lens for our perspective to change.

Many of my experiences as a teen could have gone way worse but God has a plan and He will fulfill that purpose in my life. No matter what your life has been like, He knows it very well because he's been there all along. Trust Him with your life, He will take care of you.
